Former Sheffield Wednesday, Walsall and Carlisle defender Zigor Arinalde has been named as Javi Gracia's fourth addition to Watford's backroom team.

A name familiar to those who have followed the Football League down the years, Arinalde will offer Gracia a knowledge of English football he cannot be afforded from his other three additions, who were brought to the club with him on Sunday.

In addition to his playing roles in the lower tiers, Arinalde also served as a scout for Premier League West Bromwich Albion, as well as Brighton and Hove Albion.

He joins as one of three assistant coaches, alongside Jesus Casas and Juan Solla. Iñigo Arteaga will become the club's new goalkeeping coach.

The fate of Marco Silva's four assistants has yet to be confirmed by Watford, but it is understood they are to leave the club.
