The Watford Chinese Association, Watford Chinese Centre for the Older People and volunteers from the local community are set to come together to stage.

Organised for the second time is the Chinese Culture Show, taking place on Saturday, February 10 at 6pm, showcasing a variety of acts.

The programme includes talented professional and community artists, presenting a range of special performances. The event will feature a Lion Dance and Martial Arts Display as well as traditional dance and music performances from The Cambridge Chinese Community Centre, The London Harrow Chinese School, The Watford Chinese Association and Man Yin Kei’s Chinese Opera.

Ms Kim Wong, chairperson of Watford Chinese Association says: “The Watford Chinese Association are pleased to be working together with the Watford Palace Theatre to produce the 2018 Chinese New Year Culture Show.

“We welcome this opportunity to celebrate the Chinese New Year and to promote Chinese culture in the community. In the lunar calendar, the coming year is the year of the Dog. By nature, its characteristics are intelligence and loyalty.

“We sincerely wish that it will be the spirit of 2018. The colourful programme that we have put together will showcase the variety of Chinese performing arts. It will be performed by community and youth artists. We look forward to sharing the show and an enjoyable evening with our audience.”
