Chorleywood Film Club and Chorleywood Bookshop will present the village’s second annual Film Festival, offering a long weekend celebrating film and film making.

This time round they have added some new elements, including a Movie Quiz Night and a ‘live’ session with one of Britain’s most successful film directors.

Whether you are a passionate film buff, or simply enjoy watching movies, they promise a programme with something for everyone.

All the screenings will take place in the War Memorial Hall on Common Road. Films shown will include Loving Vincent on February 23 at 8pm, Paper Planes on February 24 at 2pm followed by a paper plane flying competition, Lars and the Real Girl on February 24 at 8pm, and Victoria and Abdul on Sunday, February 25 at 2pm.

Movie Quiz Night

The quiz will test competitors’ film knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere at the Festival’s opening event. With questions compiled by the Film Club’s own resident Quizmaster, using stills, film clips and soundtracks, it promises to be a great evening.
