Weather
The Met office has issued yellow warnings as snow is falling yet again and temperatures are expected to drop to -5C.
It will remain cold throughout the day but there will be snow showers.
Traffic
The M1 has re-opened southbound at j8 for Hemel Hempstead after a crash between a car and a lorry this morning.
The motorway had been blocked since the accident which happened in the early hours of the morning.
It had been shut between j8 and j6A for the M25, for around four hours.
The closure led to severe delays in and around St Albans this morning.
There is still congestion on the M1 southbound from j10.
HighwaysEast tweeted the scene below earlier this morning.

Rail
Trains may be delayed or cancelled in both directions between Watford Junction and London Euston due to a signal fault. Disruption is ongoing.
Thameslink has tweeted that good service is operating on all routes.
