A new post office has opened in a shopping street, ten years after a previous one closed down.
Londis has created a branch within its store in Queens Road in Watford.
The new post office has been welcomed by the new chairman of Watford Borough Council, Rabi Martins.
He said: "I lead the campaign to keep the old post office so this is great news. The Liberal Democrats campaigned against the closures that did take place; we lost around ten post offices in Watford.
"We urge residents to use it and we wish the ladies at Londis all the best with this. It will be a real bonus for our community."
Jayshree Gandecha who runs the Londis store added: "We are very pleased to be able to offer these new facilities for local residents and make it easier to send parcels, collect currency etc, we are sure this will be a boon to the area."
