Politicians from Watford were amongst those who marched through central London to demand a second Brexit referendum.

More than 100,000 people took to Whitehall as part of an anti-Brexit protest, as part of the largest ever demonstration over Britain’s final Brexit deal.

Watford and Three Rivers Lib Dems joined others calling on a People's Vote on the deal.

Watford Lib Dem spokesperson Cllr Ian Stotesbury said: "It was a great event with people marching from all across the UK.

"The progress from Cabinet has been haphazard and divided and it's only right that people, not politicians, have a say on if the final deal is good enough for them."

His party is calling on MP Richard Harrington and Labour candidate Chris Ostroski to back the campaign.

Watford was the closest result in the country.

"Nobody voted to damage the NHS or make our nation poorer," he added.

"There must be a People's Vote or Brexit will forever be a division and both young and poor people will pay the price of it all."

The People's Vote march began at Pall Mall and ended in Parliament Square, where crowds waving flags an placards chanted "we demand a people's vote".

Politicians such as Lib Dem Sir Vince Cable, Tory former minister Anna Soubry and Labour's David Lammy also attended.

The march came as Boris Johnson urged the Prime Minister to deliver a "full British Brexit".
