Attention stargazers. A new and exciting space exhibition is coming to a venue near you.
South West Herts Astronomical Society is celebrating its 50th anniversary by showcasing a stunning collection of images taken by its members, at Artistsmeet, Watersmeet, in Rickmansworth, from October 9 to November 3.
The free event will run from Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm.
The exhibition, displayed in a chronological sequence of events on space and astronomy over the last 50 years, will include notable occurrences in space linked with the society’s own history.
South West Herts Astronomical Society was founded in 1968.
On November 3 from 10am – 12pm people can also take part in a space walk using a virtual reality headset.
Learn about all things astronomical, view space rocks and meteorites and other memorabilia related to the Apollo missions.
