Plans have been submitted to transform a site destroyed by fire into 55 new homes.

Angle Property wants to redevelop a section of previously developed brownfield land off Hempstead Road in Kings Langley.

The area of the former Rectory Farm has been proposed for development for a number of years, Angle says, and in recent years, the site has fallen into disrepair.

Last December, a fire tore through ravaging a building and vehicles.

Watford Observer:

Angle want to clean-up the site and create 55 homes, including 15 apartments. The houses will be predominantly two and three bedroom, and will meet the 35 per cent “affordable housing” quota. There will also be “generous” parking.

Angle says the proposed development has been “carefully positioned” to ensure the amenity of neighbouring properties is respected.

A new play area will be incorporated into the development if it is approved by Dacorum Borough Council and there will also be improved facilities for the Transition in Kings community farm.

James Good, Director of Angle, said, “We are very encouraged that our plans have already received a good level of local feedback. We have worked hard to develop a scheme that will redevelop this unsightly development, whilst delivering much needed private and affordable new homes.

“We’d like to thank everybody who has taken time to attend our event or return valuable feedback.”
