A group of people recognised for their work in the community were given a night of VIP treatment at a cinema.
Vue Cinema invited winners of the Watford Observer Community Heroes award to enjoy a movie night on October 10, and a chance to see Johnny English Strikes Again, just as it hits the big screen.
Winners Graeme and Tina Armstrong, who have worked tirelessly with Alzheimer’s Research, and Chris Raby, who supports Playskill, providing groups for children with physical disabilities, were there to take in the movie.
Asa Brennan, general manager at Vue Watford said: “We know there are many people in Watford who give so much of themselves for the community, whether it be charity work, volunteering or campaigning.
“We wanted to show our appreciation for the time consuming and exhausting work these locals carry out by treating them to a night at the movies.
“We were thrilled to greet a number of people who have been named as community heroes by the Watford Observer and would like to thank them for helping this evening come together.”
