A support group held a blood donation evening for those affected by prostate cancer.

Friends of Prostate Sufferers hosted their eighth “Prostate Roadshow” at The Junction in Christ Church, Chorleywood on October 15.

Members filled in assessment forms before giving blood samples to five Phlebotomists they will later receive results for. A total of 78 samples were drawn.

Liberal Democrat councillor Phil Williams showed his support.

A talk entitled “Trouble Down Below” was given to the men by consultants Julian Shah and Alvan Pope before a separate talk entitled “Something for the Ladies” was given to the women present, by Victoria Muir.

The night ended with a lively Q&A before thanks were given to all.
