Letter to the editor

In 1952 I thought I had seen the end of rationing and restrictions.

However, this is not so because our Lib Dem run council has now decided to ration and restrict families visiting Cassiobury Park by introducing car parking charges.

Liberal Democrat Mayor Peter Taylor says it will help ease congestion on residential roads.

Who is he trying to kid with this red herring of a statement? This is about one thing: making money from families who are already trying to make ends meet.

By introducing car parking charges at Cassiobury Park this will only come back and bite Mayor Taylor and his Lib Dem-run council because with families unable to pay parking charges they will then park on the Cassiobury estate and the Nascot Wood estate that will then cause congestion and irritation for these residents.
