Cassiobury Fireworks

Come along to Cassiobury Park for Hertfordshire's largest free fireworks display. The event is organised by Watford Borough Council with support from Vibe 107.6FM who compere the stage. There will be entertainment and live performances on stage. The huge bonfire will be lit at 7pm followed by a spectacular firework display at 7.30pm. There will be a variety of food and drink outlets, kiddies funfair rides, bungee trampolines and a bouncy slide.

Fireworks at The Grove

This year, The Grove hotel will be lighting up the skies for Bonfire Night, as guests and diners will experience a spectacular display of fireworks. Surrounded by 300-acres of extraordinary countryside, the hotel is located away from most light pollution allowing the fireworks to be brighter than ever. As darkness descends, hotel residents and restaurant guests alike are invited to wrap up warm and head out to enjoy the breath-taking display. There will be delectable hot chocolates and indulgent Irish coffees available to warm up cold hands, as well as sticky churros as an extra treat. Fireworks are only open to those dining or staying at the hotel.

St Albans Cathedral Fireworks

This amazing public display was started over 25 years ago in order to reduce firework accidents at home. Over the years it has raised over £750,000 for local and national charities. This year’s nominated charities are Herts Young Homeless and The Daylight Club. The display is produced by double winners of the British Fireworks Championships, Fantastic Fireworks of Redbourn, and will start at 7.30pm. There will be a Food Village providing plenty of food and drink for you to enjoy too – with street food outlets, burgers and hot dogs. The bars, for the first time this year, are provided by Tring Brewery.

Walter Harvey Hallam – An Ordinary Man

A musical presentation by Alison Raymond. Telling the story in words and music of Walter Harvey Hallam as he volunteers for military service relating his experiences and adventures in the battlefields of WWI. This presentation is part of Watford Museum's final exhibition in a series commemorating the centenary of World War I.
