An MP is urging people to support a national animal charity this Christmas.
Watford MP Richard Harrington is encouraging people to donate food, toys and blankets to the National Animal Welfare Trust's Shoe Box Appeal to help volunteers look after abandoned pets in Watford.
Mr Harrington said: “I have been in touch with the trust’s local team, and know that they are desperate for food, toys and blankets this winter.
“That's why I'm backing their local campaign and collecting shoe boxes filled with goodies at my office.”
If you have anything to donate visit and drop it off at 30 The Avenue, Watford, by December 14.
