Police have charged two teenagers with attempted murder after a 19-year-old was stabbed in a town centre.

The victim, from Watford, was found bleeding outside Tops Pizza in The Parade, Watford, after police were called at 5.40pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition. He is now described as "stable".

A 17-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and a 19-year-old was detained the following day.

Police enquiries are ongoing and officers are looking for two items of clothing that could help with the investigation.

They are searching for a light grey puffa-style jacket with a white Nike logo on the chest and a black beanie hat with a badge on it.

Anyone who sees either item of clothing should not touch it and should call police straight away.

The town centre was busy at the time the stabbing took place and a number of cordons were set up in The Parade including outside Tops Pizza and Paddy Power.

Anyone with any information about the incident should call police on 101 quoting ISR 583 of November 7.

• A 17 year from Colindale has been charged with attempted murder.

• Adam Jaylani, 19, of Orange Hill Road, Edgware, has been charged with attempted murder.

They are both due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court today.
