Frustrated residents have slammed a car owner who allegedly left their car on a road for over a year, forcing council officials to tarmac around it.
A Volkswagen Sharon has reportedly been sitting in Simmons Way, Lane End, and Transport for Bucks officers have now tarmacked around it, leaving the car sitting on a patch of grass, which residents have dubbed an “eyesore”.
It also reportedly does not have an MOT but has been taxed.
A resident, who did not want to be named, said: “We have reported it to the police and they said they would report it to the DVLA, but nothing has been done about it.
“Residents are really frustrated by it, it is an eyesore.”
A TfB spokesman said: “Fortunately these are very rare occurrences, in fact this is the only vehicle on the whole of the 2018/19 micro-surfacing programme that we haven’t managed to move.
“Usually a mixture of letter drops, liaising with residents and involving the Police is enough to encourage vehicles owners to move cars that are causing an obstruction.”
