A nursery and an elderly persons’ activity group have linked together to help unite the two generations and end loneliness.
Kingswood Nursery School, in Briar Road, has linked with Watford and Three Rivers Trust's Getting Together Club, which runs activities for people aged over 55.
Last week saw the second session of the programme, where children join the elderly to play games, tell stories and participate in fun activities.
Bernice Jackson, head teacher of Kingswood Nursery School, said: “The project is already a great success, friendships are building and both young and old are having a wonderful time!.
“All staff involved are to be congratulated for making this wonderful opportunity happen.”
