An Australia-themed bar has been relaunched after a £400,000 revamp - and they are hiring ten new staff.
Walkabout announced its return to The Parade in a big way last night with street performers, canapes and free fizz on arrival for guests, following a facelift and the introduction of a new menu.
The team have warned punters to be on the lookout tonight as they distribute Walkabout flip flops which can be exchange for complimentary drinks at the bar this weekend.
In addition to two video walls, new booths and a bar extension alongside huge HD screens and a top-quality sound system, the Aussie bar is also premiering a new burger menu.
Tuck into a double or even triple patty burger with a range of toppings. Or give the Aussie Vurger a try - a Thai spiced vegetable and soya bean burger with BBQ sauce, gherkins, onions, guacamole, spicy tomato salsa and iceberg lettuce in a sesame seeded bun.
Phil Holby, general manager, said: “We couldn’t wait to reopen in Watford and show off our brand-new bar.
“We’ve created an amazing space for people to enjoy, whether they want a quick bite, a chill with their mates to watch the game, or for a big night out all delivered in the true spirit of Australian socialising.
“We’re sure we won’t disappoint.”
