A Land Rover has given Santa a tow to get him going this Christmas.

Beadles Jaguar Land Rover Watford came to the rescue of Watford Rotary’s annual Christmas Street collection after the club failed to find a volunteer with a tow bar to pull their sleigh through the streets of Watford.

Organiser Allan Packham said: “We really were worried we would not be able to do our street tour this year due to not having a vehicle with a tow bar.

“We didn’t want to let the community down as we know how much they look forward to seeing Santa, plus of course it brings in valuable revenue that helps us to support local charities.”

One of the Rotary members suggested they contact Beadles and got in touch with Chris Stockwell, Beadles head of business who supported the idea.

The volunteers now have a Land Rover to pull their sleigh.

David Silverston of the Watford Rotary club said: “We are extremely grateful to Chris and his team for saving the day, Beadles really came up trumps and I know there are numerous children and their families who will also want to express their thanks to Chris as well.”
