A new bike docking station has been installed near Sutton railway station as a “revolutionary” cycling scheme for the borough is being rolled out.
Fold-up bicycles will soon be available for hire following the approval of funding from the Mayor of London’s Air Quality Fund, according to the council.
When available, the new Brompton bicycles will cost “as little” as £3.50 for 24 hours – enabling people to cycle in and around Sutton and hop on public transport.

The bike docking station, installed on December 6, is situated in Brighton Road next to Noor Jahan's Tandoori Bar.
Meanwhile the council promises to release more information soon, particularly next year, though it’s not yet clear when this will be specifically.
