Balmoral Road has been blocked by police at the junction of St Albans Road
A cyclist has been taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after they were hit by a vehicle this afternoon.
Tape has been put up along Balmoral Road in North Watford following the incident which happened just before 2pm.
When police arrived, the vehicle believed to be involved in the collision was not there.
The victim is a man in his 30s.
A witness has told us that a cordon was in place near the junction with St Albans Road and by The Gym in Balmoral Road.
Balmoral Road is closed between St Albans Road and Sandown Road.
The East of England Ambulance service has been contacted while police remain at the scene.
