Drivers continue to face delays as repairs are carried out on a burst water main,

Motorists in Vicarage Road in Watford town centre have been stuck in queues because Affinity Water have had to shut off the junction where Vicarage Road, Farraline Road, and Fearnley Street meet.

Watford Observer:

Drivers coming from Wiggenhall Road and wanting to go around the mini ring-road have no option but to travel along Vicarage Road, past the football stadium, and follow the diversion.

It has led to queues along Vicarage Road, Farraline Road, and Wiggenhall Road.

People are being diverted past the stadium and hospital, into Hagden Lane before drivers have an option to use Whippendell Road or Rickmansworth Road.

Watford Observer:

Those travelling down Vicarage Road towards the town centre do not have to face any diversion.

Affinity Water has a permit to complete the works by Monday.

Watford are away at Crystal Palace this weekend so football traffic will not be an issue.

People should still be aware of the four-way lights in Rickmansworth Road by Hagden Lane.
