An obstacle course raised hundreds of pounds for Save the Children and Cancer Research in December.

Cloud 9, a giant inflatable obstacle course at Francis Combe Academy on Horseshoe Lane, donated 10 per cent of its revenue from each booking during the month.

Afterwards the centre praised people in Watford and St Albans for helping to raise so much for the two charities.

Co-owner Andrew Fairnington told the Observer: “We chose two charities close to our hearts. Thanks to the wonderful support of our customers, we managed to raised hundreds and hundreds of pounds for both charities.

“We believe that everyone should try to help those less fortunate wherever possible. As we expand our business, so will our charitable donations.”

He added: “We try to give back to the community - and Christmas tends to be a nice time to do that.”

The centre also runs monthly events for people for special needs, held on the last Saturday of every month at 10am.

Cloud 9 launched in November 2017 and describes its experience as something for all ages where “Ninja Warrior, Gladiator & Total Wipeout experiences collide.”
