Police chased a car through the streets of Watford before bringing it to a stop just after midday today.

Several marked and unmarked police cars were spotted in Stephenson Way near the Radlett Road roundabout at 12.10pm, and after they brought the vehicle to a stop, the road out of town was temporarily blocked while a search was carried out of the area.

A package was recovered by officers.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police stopped a vehicle in Stephenson Way, Watford, at around 12.10pm today and arrested a 23 year old man from London on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and failing to stop for police. He remains in police custody at this time.
