Police chased a car through the streets of Watford before bringing it to a stop just after midday today.
Several marked and unmarked police cars were spotted in Stephenson Way near the Radlett Road roundabout at 12.10pm, and after they brought the vehicle to a stop, the road out of town was temporarily blocked while a search was carried out of the area.
A package was recovered by officers.
