Watford striker Andre Gray has been found not guilty of assaulting a British woman in a Las Vegas nightclub.
The 27-year-old was charged in the United States with “misdemeanour battery” after allegedly assaulting a woman at Drai's nightclub while on holiday in May last year.
In America this offence carries a sentence of up to six months in jail.
Gray did not appear at a hearing at Las Vegas Justice Court yesterday.
Catherine Pegman told the court she had met up with Gray at the nightclub after the pair had spent time together during the day.
She said he pulled her hair and his friend, Nathan Jones, poured a drink over her during an altercation.
Pegman also said Gray called her several times after the incident to apologise – but his phone records were not used as evidence during the hearing.
Judge Joseph Sciscento dismissed the case and found Gray not guilty.
