A new fast Indian food outlet is coming to Watford's Intu shopping centre.

The new Indian style street 'grab and go' food called Wrapchic will be opening its doors tomorrow.

Wrapchic have flagship outlets in major sites across the UK including London, Birmingham, Bradford, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The product range at Watford will be the Wrapchic favourites, including the Naanchic, biryani with choices of chicken or vegetarian fillings and a new selection of classic Indian desserts, including Gulab Jamun, an Indian dessert often referred to as Indian doughnuts soaked in a rose flavoured sugar syrup.

Wrapchic was created by Mahesh Raikar in 2012.

Mr Raikar has 18 years of food industry experience behind him and launched the business as he wanted to make Indian cuisine available in to a bustling lunch time market.

After working for over two years on the idea, testing and retesting, designing and redesigning, he invested into opening the first Wrapchic in Birmingham City Centre.

He said: "All our core ingredients are prepared at a central location by our expert chefs in order to maintain product standards and authenticity. The ingredients are then delivered to our stores for final preparation.

"Our concept is unique in the quick serve food sector and brings something new and fresh to the high street. Our existing outlets are doing extremely well in terms of footfall and profitability. The public have really taken to the concept of healthy, fresh, tasty, Indian food served in a burrito."

Intu Watford general manager Vicki Costello said: "We’re delighted to welcome Wrapchic to the centre as it will give our shoppers even more exciting and diverse choice when visiting. The food looks extremely tasty and fresh and I look forward to sampling some of their food for myself over the coming weeks."
