In a report in this week’s Watford Observer (New bosses for hospitals, March 8) we learn of yet another new chief executive of West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust. Christine Allen has been appointed as the new chief executive for the trust. Over the years there has been quite a turnaround of chief executives of the trust. It seems every couple of years we read of yet another chief executive’s departure from the trust, which I am sure is most worrying one way or another for residents in west Herts. It would be nice for once to see a chief executive who can last the distance and not to just pass the baton onto another in a couple of years’ time, but I won’t be holding my breath.
