A student trampoline team bounced their way to recognition in a national competition.

A group of four girls from The Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth represented their school at the Schools National Trampoline Finals.

The Year 9 and 10 team, who managed to place in the top two at the regional and central qualification rounds, were delighted when they came second in the national event at Cannock on March 2.

The team members were Gabi Kaplan, Beatrice Vane, Talia Adams and Charlotte Clarke. They were coached by Kayleigh McCarthy, who has competed as an international trampolinist.

Ms McCarthy said: “I am so proud of their achievement. I am pleased that I can now pass on my years of experience to the students and help them achieve a high level.”

One of the girls, Charlotte Clarke, also qualified as one of the top nine girls in the country for her age group and reached sixth place in the national finals.
