A teenage photographer has snapped herself into contention for a national prize with this eerie picture.
Charlotte Williams, 17, won this year’s Watford Rotary Club young photographer competition with her almost alien close-up, based on the theme ‘the beauty of nature’.
Each entrant was required to submit a portfolio of three photographs based on their interpretation of the theme.
The entries were then judged by professional photographer Ian Boichat of Origin Studios on their interpretation, composition and technical ability.
Charlotte, a pupil at St Joan of Arc School in Rickmansworth, was presented with a trophy and certificate for her work and will go into the next heat of the national Rotary Club competition.
