After reading a report in last week’s Watford Observer re our MP Richard Harrington’s decision to resign as Business Minister it leaves me feeling rather perplexed. Mr Harrington says he took this decision because he will do everything he can to stop no deal. In the past Mr Harrington has had every opportunity to take no deal off the table but instead votes in favour of the Prime Minister’s withdrawal agreement that keeps no deal on the table. Now that the Prime Minister has thrown herself under the bus to gain votes from the far right of her party for another attempt at getting her withdrawal agreement over the line, the race now begins as to who will be the next Prime Minister with the prize for winning this race being the poison chalice that attempts to heal the rift within the Tory party.
