One person had to be freed by firefighters following a crash at a busy roundabout this evening.

Two crews from Watford were called to the Waterfields Way roundabout at the junction of Stephenson Way, following a collision between two cars.

Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue has confirmed that one person was injured but the nature of these injuries is unknown at this stage.

There were huge tailbacks near the Tesco supermarket as a result of the crash - while town was already busier than usual due to Watford taking on Southampton in the Premier League tonight.

Most of the delays have now cleared, although it is busy near Vicarage Road.
