Drivers faced long delays this morning because of emergency roadworks.
Motorists complained of long queues in Watling Street, Radlett because of the lights which have been set up near the junction of Shenley Hill.

UK Power Networks is carrying out an immediate repair to some cables which is affecting nearby customers - these roadworks were not planned.
On Twitter, the company apologised for the delays the lights were causing and were aware of the disruption it was causing.
Hi Duncan, sorry for the delays these works are causing. We do have our permit until the 8th of May however our engineers are fully aware of the disruptions these are causing and will work as quickly as they can to get their work completed and these cleared away. Will

The company has a permit of until Wednesday May 8 but says it will look to complete the job as quickly as possible.
Temporary lights are also in place in Colney Street - between Radlett and Park Street. The work by Affinity Water is set to be completed tomorrow. (Thursday)
As a result of both sets of roadworks, traffic was snarled up all the way back to Park Street while Radlett Lane from Shenley and Theobald Street from Borehamwood were also affected.
Delays remain in the area.
