The Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor was among a host of guests joined together for a cross-cultural celebration this week.
St Michael & All Angels Church and Littlebury Hall in Watford played host to the annual festival of cultures, faiths, food and talents at the multi-cultural community centre on May 6.
The yearly event brings together various communities in the town to share and celebrate in an afternoon of music, international cuisine and entertainments.
Guests enjoyed Chinese and Indian dances, a recital by a recorder group, a Sikh display of Gatka martial arts, a Tai Chi demonstration, jazz and gospel singing, and a performance by some children from the Polish Saturday School.
Activities included a bouncy castle, origami lessons, face painting and a workshop by the Herts Inclusive Theatre.
Various charities set up stalls and the Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service brought their fire engine and talked with people.
Among the other guests alongside Mayor Taylor was the high sheriff of Hertfordshire, Sarah Beazley, who helped cut a cake to mark the occasion, the deputy lord lieutenant of Hertfordshire, David Cansdale, the chairman of Watford Borough Council Councillor Rabi Martins and Woodside Liberal Democrat Karen Collett.
Special guest Harry the Hornet also made an appearance stirring up all sorts of fun ahead of the FA Cup Final at Wembley.
