A crew member who was stabbed on a film set yesterday is out of hospital, police have confirmed.

Police were called to the Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden at 12.35pm on Wednesday and found a man in his 40s suffering from a neck injury.

He had suffered a small wound and was rushed to hospital.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and he has since been released on bail until July 17.

National newspapers are reporting the incident was sparked after "one pinched the others teabag".

A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "Police were called at around 12.35pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 19) to reports of an incident at Warner Bros studio production facility in Leavesden.

"One man, in his 40s, sustained a small laceration to his neck and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He was released later that evening following treatment.

"A second man, who is 54, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and released on bail until Wednesday, July 17.

"The men are known to each other. Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the full circumstances around what happened."

The stabbing happened on the set of Roald Dahl's The Witches and is a remake of the 1990 film, due for release next year. The Witches is a children's fantasy novel starring a boy and his grandmother who must stop an evil plot by the child-hating Grand High Witch.

It stars Anne Hathaway, who plays the Grand High Witch, Octavia Spencer and Chris Rock.
