A new crepe cafe offering sweet and savoury treats has opened in the city.

Crepeaffaire was officially opened by Mayor Janet Smith on June 1 (Monday) on the Market Place in St Albans.

The café has created 20 new jobs and allows people to watch their favourite type of waffle or crepe to be made in front of them.

This is now the 17th Crepeaffaire cafe in the UK and they offer an all-day mixed menu including gluten free, fair trade and vegan options.

Crepeaffaire head of marketing Matt Steggles said: “We’re a different because of our family focus, we’ve had some very excited customers keen to get in all week and we’re glad it is finally open.
