Oliver Dowden says he has been "reassured" that funding will be made available for a new health hub in Borehamwood.
Hertsmere's MP met health bosses on Friday to discuss plans to increase the capacity of the town's healthcare facilities.
He met with representatives from Herts Valley Commissioning Group (CCG) including its chief executive Kathryn Megson, chief financial officer Caroline Hall, and group chairman, Dr Nicholas Small.
Following his meeting, he said the CCG remain "committed" to providing the necessary funding.
He said: "As our community grows it is vital we have the infrastructure and public services to go with them. For healthcare in Borehamwood, this means the development of a modern new health hub facility, to bring together and maximise the resources of all our separate local GPs.
"I therefore was pleased to secure an assurance from the CCG that they remain committed to providing the necessary funding for this much needed facility for the town."
The next step is to speak with leaders at Hertsmere Borough Council, which is responsible for providing a suitable site for the hub.
