A care home opened its doors to a pony so elderly people could see it from the comfort of their own armchairs.
Prince Michael of Kent Court in Watford organised a horse race experience and brought in a Shetland pony called Honeybee who went from room to room to meet residents.
Staff dressed up as jockeys and everyone at the home were treated to a pantomime horse, games and afternoon tea.
Home activities co-ordinator Tracy Lydon said: “We wanted to create a special day that all our residents could enjoy.
“Everyone had a fantastic time and they especially loved meeting Honeybee. There was a wonderful atmosphere here, one we won’t forget.”
