Watford Borough Council’s Big JiveSwing Festival returns to the bandstand in Cassiobury Park on Sunday, July 28, from 1pm to 6pm. The historic Watford landmark will host some of the best internationally acclaimed jazz musicians, bands and dancers during the afternoon extravaganza. There will be live cabarets, dance classes for children and adults, professional dance displays, a vintage photo booth and more – all for free.

Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “It's great to be able to host our Big Jive Swing Festival for another year. I'm really pleased that despite cuts in our funding from government that we are able to put on events like these ones free of charge for local residents. Bring your family and friends, and make the most of this fantastic musical festival!”

Watford Observer:

Bands performing include the Mississippi Swing Band, Pete Long Swing Band, The Jive Aces and The Colin Bray Swing Band.

Big Bandstand – part of the Watford Borough Council’s Big Events programme – will host live bands, performing for free, every Sunday from 2pm to 4pm until September.
