FANS packed into the Scala wearing period costume and ‘upstairs or downstairs attire’ for a charity screening of Downton Abbey the Movie.
St Kentigern Hospice Prestatyn Support Group worked with the team at The Scala Cinema, also based in the town, to host a Gala Reception of Prosecco and Canapes.
This followed a private screening of the new movie, which was released on Friday, September 13.
The film features old favourites from the ITV series including Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary, Hugh Bonneville as the Earl of Downton, Joanne Froggatt as Anna Bates and Dame Maggie Smith as Dowager Countess.
All money raised was in aid of St Kentigern. Funds raised are still being counted.
St Kentigern’s next event is a silver ball on September 28. This will be held in the renovated venue ‘The Barn’ at Faenol Fawr Country House and Manor Hotel, Bodelwyddan.
Visit www.stkentigernhospice.org.uk/events or telephone 01745 775423. Tickets £75 and the dress code is black tie.
