Some flooding is possible with heavy rain showers expected throughout the rest of the afternoon.

Watford and surrounding towns and villages have already been hit by several heavy downpours in the past hour or so.

Weather radars indicate that we'll continue to see short sharp bursts of rain and it could be torrential at times.

Watford Observer:

A weather radar shows hevay showers over Watford earlier this afternoon

But be wary the showers are a bit hit-and-miss.

There is currently a yellow weather warning for rain in our area which means there could be some disruption. The Met Office yellow warning lasts until 8pm.

There are flood warnings in force across the UK but none affecting our area at the moment.
