- A crash took place on the A41 near the Meriden in Watford.
- Police shut the A41 from Westlea Avenue/Woodmere Avenue, to the exit slip road for the M1 and Watford town centre.
- The crash involved a Vauxhall Zafira and a horsebox which overturned - all of the horses on board are believed to be uninjured.
- It happened at around 6.30am.
- Numerous emergency services were at the scene.
- The road is now open.
- The closure caused chaos on the road network this morning.
- The routes most affected by the closure included the A41 between Leavesden and the Meriden, St Albans Road both ways between Garston and Dome roundabout, and Bushey Mill Lane.
