An opticians put on a spook-tacular Halloween event for the community last week.
Newly opened Eye 2 Eye Opticians in Bushey Heath opened its doors for four hours for an afternoon of entertainment and fancy dress.
The store was decorated in the spirit of Halloween with mannequins of skeletons and witches.
Fake cobwebs dangled across the shop and bloody handprints were printed on the windows.
There was children's face painting and refreshments, including candyfloss, with around 500 people passing by and visiting.
Leslie Winters visited with his grandchildren.
He said: "It was very scary. My grandchildren nearly jumped out of their skin. It was great fun to be there. It was the place to be for Halloween."
Owner of Eye 2 Eye in Bushey Heath, Dipesh Patel, said: "We decided to do this as a launch. It was an amazing success, phenomenal. The kids loved it. We did not expect the turnout. This was a party for Bushey Heath."
"We've done events like this previously in Harrow and it's always been welcomed.
