A man has been charged after a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a motorcycle.
Taha Hamadouche, 19, of Wilberforce Road, Hackney, was detained by members of the public following a collision in Lea Bridge Road, by the junction with Markhouse Road, at 11.13am on Tuesday, November 12.
He was charged the same day with failing to stop at a road traffic collision, driving without due care and attention and driving without third party insurance.
The pedestrian, a woman aged 60s, sustained a non-life-threatening head injury. She was taken to an east London hospital.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “Police and the London Ambulance Service attended.
“At the scene a motorcycle had been in collision with a pedestrian.
“The rider of the motorcycle was detained at the scene by members of the public."
Hamadouche has been bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 26.
