As a supporter of Watford FC since 1946 I would like to offer a few observations.
Being in my nineties I can no longer visit games as in the past.
Also now living in Cheshire it means I have to watch games on TV.
This year, in the summer, I was invited to visit Vicarage Road, and what a privilege it was to be a guest of the club.
For this visit, I really thank those involved in making the visit such a joy.
From my visit, I was able to see just what the Pozzo family have done to improve the ground and the training facilities. It is exceptional.
After watching the Liverpool v Watford match on TV on Saturday 14 December I commend the team for keeping the Liverpool supporters subdued for such long periods.
This clearly indicated to me the effort that all the Watford team put into the game.
Yes, they deserved at least a draw against the best team in Europe.
Hence I am confident that in the future, with the new management team, results will improve.
So long may the supporters, the Pozzo family, and the executive continue to improve Watford Football Club.
At the same time please continue the high standards set by the club over so many years.
Wishing you all a happy festive season and a successful New Year.
