Neighbours can expect to see a more visible police presence after a rise in burglaries.

Three homes were targeted by burglars on Saturday prompting Hertfordshire Constabulary to launch extensive enquiries to find those responsible.

The properties were in Kings Langley, Abbots Langley, and Pimlico.

Watches, trainers, and cash were stolen after the back door of a home in Gallows Hill was broken into at around 7.10pm.

A house in Redwing Grove was broken into between 12.15pm and 6.21pm and jewellery, handbags, sunglasses, and gym equipment was stolen.

An Audi A6 was also stolen.

At 7.15pm, five men broke into a home in Bedmond Road. They stole a handbag.

As a result of the burglaries, marked and unmarked police patrols have been increased in these areas.

The public are asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour or vehicles to police straight away.

Over the weekend, a man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods in connection with alleged thefts from vehicles in the Langleys. He has been released under investigation while further enquiries continue.
