Three teenagers were robbed at knifepoint on New Year’s Eve.

Police are appealing for witnesses after three teenagers were robbed as they walked along Field Road, Watford, on December 31 between 9pm and 9.30pm.

They were approached by two men near the junction with Lower Paddock Road and were followed into King Edward Road. The suspects began shouting at the victims to stop and hand over anything they were carrying.

When the victims refused, one of the two men took out a knife and then stole cash, a watch, an iPhone, aftershave and a bag.

Police have given the following descriptions of the suspects.

The first suspect is believed to be around 17 years old, about 6ft tall and was wearing a long black coat and a hood.

The other suspect is around 16 years, wearing a black coat with the hood up and black Nike jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Jon Holmes, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Thankfully no one was hurt but this was a frightening ordeal for the victims.
