A house in Watford was ransacked in a burglary.

Burglars smashed their way into a house in Greenbank Road between 2pm and 7.30pm on Saturday January 4.

The house was trashed and a large amount of cash and Asian gold was stolen.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour at the address or in the street on that day to come forward.

Detective Constable Julie Vint, who is investigating, said: "The victim is understandably devastated by the loss of their possessions, and the damage caused to their property. It is believed that the suspect(s) gained entry to the property by damaging the back gate and door.
