Roadworks will shut a busy road this weekend.

Green Street, which connects Borehamwood and Shenley, will be closed in both directions on Saturday and Sunday.

The roadworks are happening near the junction of Kitwells Lodge, although the closure will only be in force between 8am and 5pm on both days.

Drivers should use London Road via Well End to bypass the closure.

Green Street will be open again on Monday but UK Power Networks will continue to work at the scene.

There will be temporary traffic lights on Monday.

Affinity Water will then start work in the same area, with temporary lights in force from Tuesday until Thursday.

The following roadworks will also be taking place within the next couple of weeks:

  • Two way lights in Elstree Way between Studio Way and York Way (Wednesday February 12 until Saturday February 15)
  • Two way lights in Allum Lane, near the recycling centre (today until Friday February 14)
  • Two way lights in Barnet Lane (February 12-25)
  • Two way lights in Theobald Street, near junction of Watling Street, Radlett (this Saturday until Monday)
  • Traffic lights along Watford Road, Radlett (today until February 18)
  • Multi-way lights in Watling Street, at junction of Aldenham Avenue, Radlett (February 11-13)
