The attack in Croxley came just hours after a stabbing in Watford town centre.

There's no suggestion that the incidents are linked.

A young man was stabbed in Watford High Street outside Costa Coffee, at around 4.50pm yesterday.

Watford Observer:

He was later found seriously injured outside Costcutter in Queens Road.

Paramedics attended the scene and an air ambulance was also called and the man was airflifted to hospital, police said.

Hertfordshire Constabulary say they are investigating a "serious assault" in the High Street, but last night did not reveal how he sustained his injuries.

Watford Observer:

Watford Observer:

However, sources have told us that he was stabbed following an argument outside Costa.

Police put up tape across the High Street and King Street as well as outside Costcutter but both cordons had been lifted by midnight.
