Passengers on a train were given a reason to feel the love for Valentine's day as they were surprised with a heart felt choir performance.

Chiltern Railways, which runs trains through Rickmansworth and Chorleywood, surprised customers on-board a Birmingham Moor Street to London Marylebone service with a performance from members of Birmingham Community Gospel Choir.

The choir, who were crowned Gospel Choir of the Year at BBC Songs of Praise 2015, were disguised as fellow passengers before bursting into a recital of the well-known love song ‘All You Need Is Love’.

It comes as the rail line launch its new duo ticket for two passengers travelling together in time for Valentine's Day.

The train company says the ticket is a "great cost-effective way to travel for two people that love to travel together" and can save customers up to 25 per cent compared to buying two separate fares.

Eleni Jordan, Commercial Director at Chiltern Railways, said: “At Chiltern Railways, we think differently about travel and do our upmost to make our customers smile and ensure their journey with us is as pleasant as possible.

“We believe our Duo Ticket is a great option for couples, colleagues, friends and families alike, really making a significant difference if you often travel with a companion on our southbound travel service. Whether it’s a trip to Madame Tussauds, taking in a West End show or lunch in the capital, the options in London are limitless.”

The Duo Ticket can be purchased in advance or immediately before travel and is valid for a single or a same-day return journey to London.
