COULD snow be on the cards for Dorset in the next few days week?
Following weeks of rain, things could take a wintrier turn on Tuesday night, a Dorset-based forecaster has suggested.
Snow showers still on the cards for Tuesday night. The further west you are the more likely you are to see showers, but fully expect all areas to see them. Looking ahead to next weekend, there is growing interest. Lots of snowy charts appearing on the GFS. Winter isn’t done yet.. https://t.co/MvQaggftY9 pic.twitter.com/iBklQQonMu

Twitter-based forecaster Dorset Snow said that all reas of Dorset are "in with a shot" of some snow or sleet snow showers.
He told the Daily Echo: "On Tuesday a cold polar maritime air mass will move in from the north west and feed showers to western parts of the country.
"As we hit nightfall these showers will start to fall increasingly as sleet or snow and could give a dusting in some areas.
"There is some debate to how far east these showers make it, but I'm expecting all areas of Dorset to be in with a shot.
"Wintry showers will continue into the early hours of Wednesday.
"Later in the week there is also the risk of some more wintry weather, which we are monitoring closely."

Earlier this month Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis battered the country with prolonged spells of heavy rain and/or wind.
Both of these storms caused widespread issues, which some areas of the UK are still coming to terms with.
